Golden Nugget Plans to Enter the Pennsylvania Online Casino Market in 2023

Going into 2023, the future seems promising for Golden Nugget Casino PA. The integration of Golden Nugget Online Gaming onto the DraftKings platform is scheduled to be completed in the second half of 2023, according to a statement made by DraftKings during its Q3 earnings call in November.
However, as of October 26, 2022, GNOG’s licensing application with the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board as a Qualified Gaming Entity is still pending. However, the names of three executives from DraftKings who have been granted state licenses appear on the application: Jason Park, Paul Liberman, and Stanton Dodge.
If GNOG is approved to operate in Pennsylvania as a Qualified Gaming Entity, it won’t need to form a new partnership to obtain an iGaming operator license. Instead, it will be able to do so from New Jersey.
In New Jersey, Golden Nugget benefited by being among the first products on the market; this is not the case in Pennsylvania. There are now 18 online casinos operating in the Keystone State, not including those that are going to get their license in 2023.
Golden Nugget is also one of the top five operators in Michigan. Given its proximity to AC, it enjoys a solid reputation and brand awareness around the country, particularly in Pennsylvania.
Both Golden Nugget and DraftKings run online casinos and sportsbooks in Arizona and West Virginia, though these are smaller markets. In addition, it wants to grow into additional new states as possibilities present themselves.
