There may be a new Pennsylvania sportsbook and online casino opening shortly. A contract between Bet365 and Churchill Downs Incorporated (CDI) has been reached in an effort for Bet365 to join the Pennsylvania market. There are currently 14 sportsbooks in Pennsylvania and 18 online casinos.

In February 2022, CDI announced that it was leaving the online casino and sports betting markets to concentrate on horse racing.

One of the least popular sports betting applications in Pennsylvania, CDI’s TwinSpires, seems to be being replaced by bet365. With Presque Isle Downs and Casino, Bet365 is operating under CDI’s license.

According to CDI CEO Bill Carstanjen in a news statement, the company is happy to collaborate with a pioneer in the worldwide online gaming market. Through its partnership with bet365, CDI is able to get the most out of its access to the Pennsylvania sports betting and iGaming markets.

A representative for bet365 stated that the company is excited to announce a new collaboration with Churchill Downs Incorporated following the company’s recent launch in Ohio. When it goes live, Pennsylvania sports fans will have access to the most popular online sports betting brand in the world, which offers amazing site features like Bet Boosts, Cash Out, Same Game Parlay, and Edit Bet in addition to the company’s industry-leading sign-up bonus.

Twinspires is anticipated to continue operating in the horse racing market.

Only Colorado, New Jersey, and Ohio offer Bet365. In Pennsylvania, it would enter a robust market with major competition.

The most popular websites in the state are FanDuel PA Sportsbook and DraftKings PA Sportsbook. In Pennsylvania, FanDuel consistently has a market share of around 40%, followed by DraftKings at 25%.

Barstool and BetMGM PA Sportsbook are distant third and fourth, respectively.
